All my life I have thought I was sure of the things I believed
Looking back on ‘em now I am wondering if I was deceived
In childhood the answers came easy
But now that I’m here the truth is harder to see

There are so many things to believe I never knew existed
You can mix ‘em and match ‘em and then it gets even more twisted
So how can I ever decide
Which ones are the truths in the midst of the lies

Why does it seem like the world is so full of confusion
Just when I think I find truth I find it’s an illusion
When I try to discern the wrong from right
But there’s more gray than black or white
Gotta find a way I can shine the light on this world of confusion

There are questions unanswered I know I need to make some sense of
But my predispositions I first gotta take and dispense of
Do I think I’ve found the only way
And everyone else has simply gone astray

I’m caught up in minor discrepancies
